In our opinion, it is one of the finest-cheapest axes you can buy. It's not a $200 Swedish axe, and we wouldn't recommend it for permanent exterior fitment on your vehicle because of the wood handle, but it's a great camp axe and an excellent chopper. The only problem - Cold Steel doesn't make a sheath for this great tool - so we did. Our kydex sheath snaps on to cover the entire head and shoulder of the axe and is extremely durable. Tension can be fine tuned with the set screw.
